John is a Masters degree qualified engineer and industrial manager with a successful track record in business development and taking new products from concept to market. His success in this area includes orthopaedic instruments and implants, prosthetics and orthotics, gynaecology and urology products. He has worked in both technical supervisory and commercial management roles as well as non executive directorship positions.
Jamie has considerable experience having worked for 4 professional premiership football clubs in elite athlete performance. Areas of expertise included monitoring of progression in fitness, nutrition programs, bio-mechanical analysis and other aspects of physiology in elite sports. Jamie has risen quickly at Biovation UK Ltd having joined the company in 2015. He is now General Manager responsible for all day to day operations. He also supports the Product Support Manager at clinical sites.
Andrea is Finance Manager at Biovation UK Ltd, instrumental in setting up and building the company, now overseeing accounts and finance at Biovation UK Ltd, distributors of Cartiva® SCI in the UK and Europe. She has over 30 years experience in business management, operations management and team leadership.
Matthew, a graduate product design engineer who also has a post graduate Masters in Advanced Engineering and has already gained considerable engineering experience working in orthopaedic implant and instrument design and development. His strengths to date are in advanced engineering, design including CAD, design visualisation and prototyping, ISO 13485 Quality Management and product development programmes. He has considerable experience in novel reusable and single use instrumentation and is involved in both minimal invasive surgical (MIS) instrumentation development and in converting existing reusable instrument designs into single use instrumentation.
Clinical & Product Support Manager
Scott has a background in sales within large UK based corporates and multi nationals within the food, healthcare and consumer goods markets. His role at Biovation UK Ltd involves product support of new surgeons in both NHS and Private Healthcare facilities. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing clinical/product support programmes for the adoption of Cartiva® SCI within the UK and Ireland.
Jono has 10 years management experience in the leisure and entertainment industry. He has been appointed Logistics Manager at Biovation UK Limited and is responsible for the provision of Cartiva Implants and instrumentation throughout the UK and Ireland. His responsibilities have been extended to cover Quality Management where he supports the General Manager.
Paula has 25 years experience in industry and joined Biovation UK Limited in 2015. She supports the Logistics Manager with the planning and management of orders and the delivery and return of devices to and from the NHS and Private Hospital facilities. Paula also manages consignment accounts and product provision.
Business Development Manager
Todd joined the company in 2016 with considerable experience in business development within customer service sector. His role is to ensure the continued growth of Cartiva® SCI for the treatment of Osteoarthritis or cartilage damage. He works closely with the General Manager and also assists with clinical and product support.
P.A. to Director and Administrative Support
Nicola gained over 15 years experience working in customer service and office administration within the service sector before taking a career break to raise her family. Nicola also has invaluable experience working in the interim for a small internet based retailer and so assists with logistics when additional support is required.
